Jamie Trinkle, USCG Licensed Master – Captain
Jamie developed a love of the water by spending weekends on Lake Texoma with his father. Once he obtained his USCG Captains License, he started working on a wide range of vessels, always challenging himself to improve his abilities. This has provided him with the skills to easily traverse any itinerary that is thrown his way.
Jamie has spent a good portion of his career in Alaska and Florida, while occasionally mixing it up in other states and even spent some time working in Panama on a Private Charter Yacht. He has always felt at home on the water and loves to share that with our guests.
Jamie also has a love of flying in any form. He has his private pilot’s license, loves flying RC airplanes, and even occasionally will “captain” a drone to capture our amazing adventures on Lady Grace. Jamie also dotes on his fur baby, a St Bernard named Itty Bitty, who loves to climb up on his lap and cuddle during down time.
Kelly Larsen, Director of Yacht Charters
Kelly has a varied background that focuses around travel, art, and taking care of others. She studied photography obtaining her BFA from Utah State University. Her thesis focused on the tranquility of the Oregon Coast, and she now seeks every opportunity to enjoy being on the water. That desire led her to the shores of Alaska, where she met our Captain Jamie, and they have been traveling together ever since.
In addition to being creative, Kelly also has the desire to take care of others. During the winter months, she uses this to create Lady Grace’s custom itineraries, making each guest the focus, and organizing it so each trip is one that our guests will never forget. She also serves as one of Lady Grace’s deckhand/stewards when she is able.
In the summer months, in addition to handling the Lady Grace Charters, Kelly works as a Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab. This has taught Kelly to be calm in any situation and to handle a wide array of backgrounds and temperaments. Kelly has also developed better patience by being a fur mama to an amazing St. Bernard named Itty Bitty.
Debbie MacArthur, Director – LBI Vacation Rentals
Debbie’s love of the ocean began as a child and her enjoyment of boating started when she and her husband, Tom, and their two children moved to Barnegat Light almost 20 years ago, first during summers and then full time. Debbie & Tom, along with their dog, Hannah, have traveled the entire east coast from Maine to Florida on their 48-foot cruiser, Darling, and have enjoyed exploring many bays, harbors and rivers along the way. They have experienced firsthand the enjoyment of life on the water.
Debbie has provided hospitality on Long Beach Island, NJ for almost 20 years. She is co-owner of Bayview Harbor Marina, Lady Grace and The SandCastle Bed & Breakfast, and previously enjoyed being hostess of a waterfront rental property for summer guests. She is dedicated to helping her guests find respite and enjoy life near the ocean.
Debbie is also the President of IGH Charitable Foundation, a board member of the LBI Foundation for the Arts & Sciences, a board member at St. Peter’s at-the-Light, a member of the Barnegat Light Fire Company Auxiliary and a Friend of the Southern Ocean County Animal Shelter. She is also a lifetime member of the Congressional Spouses Organization, from her time in Washington DC when Tom served as a Member of Congress representing the New Jersey Shore.
Being a wife, mother, and grandmother has taught Debbie the importance of making cherished memories and taking time out to rest. It is that refreshment she hopes to bring to all who stay aboard the lovely Lady Grace in beautiful Barnegat Light.
Alternating Crew Members
Lady Grace has alternating crew members depending on the desired experience of our guests. These crew members each have their own unique talents and responsibilities that help complete our team. All crew members serve in two capacities. One is always being a trusted deckhand who works directly with our Captain to keep the boat running smoothly and safely. The second responsibility will depend on your needs. It can be a chef who provisions Lady Grace and prepares meals, an adventure guide to direct you during kayaking, snorkeling, or port adventures, a steward to keep everything clean and organized, or even a furry companion who provides snuggles and love. (See our pet policy.) Our crew works tirelessly together to ensure your charter is safe, fun, and relaxing.
